An external expert commission visited JSC “Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Medicine” on June 9–11, 2026, to conduct an institutional and specialized evaluation as part of the accreditation process.
The Standards for institutional accreditation of postgraduate and CPD organizations and the Standards for accreditation of residency programmes, developed by the ECAQA based on the WFME Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education and harmonized with the ESG Standards, were applied.
The international expert commission was headed by chairperson Shamsutdinova A.G., MD, MSc, BA, Fogarty Fellow, Head of the Department of Science, Deputy Director of the B. Atchabarov Research Institute of Fundamental and Applied Medicine, President of the Association of Bioethics and Medical Law, and a physician of the highest category in Public Health. Satenik Baghdasaryan, PhD, Head of the Center for Specialization and Continuing Education and Associate Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at Mkhitar Geratsi Yerevan State Medical University, Republic of Armenia, was invited to serve as an international expert under the memorandum of cooperation between the ECAQA and the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA).
The commission’s work was attended by ECAQA experts—representatives of the academic community, a resident expert, and an employer expert.
