ECAQA Participated in the ENQA Members’ Forum 2026 in Budapest, Hungary

On 22–24 April 2026, the ENQA Members’ Forum 2026 was held in Budapest, Hungary. The event was organized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) in cooperation with the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB). The main theme of the Forum was “Strengthening trust in an evolving higher education landscape”, emphasizing the importance of strengthening trust in the changing higher education environment. The Forum brought together 152 participants from 44 countries.

ECAQA was represented by Farida Nurmanbetova, Scientific Adviser of ECAQA, and Alibek Amandykov, Head of International Cooperation and Public Relations Department. The Forum addressed key issues related to strengthening trust in higher education, transparency of external evaluation, academic integrity, international cooperation, and the development of European approaches to quality assurance in education. The important role of accreditation agencies in strengthening trust in higher education was highlighted, particularly through promoting continuous improvement, providing reliable information and analytical data, and fostering dialogue with stakeholders.

Participation in the ENQA Members’ Forum 2026 enabled ECAQA representatives to exchange experience with international colleagues, familiarize themselves with current trends in quality assurance, and strengthen international cooperation with European agencies and organizations. ECAQA has been a full member of ENQA since 2022 and has implemented the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) in its activities.
