An external expert commission visited West Kazakhstan Higher Medical College LLP on March 25–27, 2026, to assess the institution’s compliance with the Standards for institutional accreditation of medical colleges and to evaluate its educational programmes, including an applied bachelor's degree programme in Nursing.

The international commission, chaired by K.A. Yestemesova, Ph.D. in Biology, Associate Professor, and Head of the Methodological Competence Center at Karaganda Medical University, included an international expert—I.A. Muntean, Ph.D. in Medical Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute of Nursing Education, Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at Samara State Medical University; Executive Secretary of the Expert Group on Vocational Medical Education Programmes at the Volga Federal District Office of the Central Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The expert commission included faculty members from higher medical colleges in Kazakhstan, a student, and a representative from the healthcare sector. The West Kazakhstan Higher Medical College underwent the reaccreditation process and demonstrated compliance with the basic accreditation standards. The final decision on accreditation will be made by the ECAQA Accreditation Council.
