From May 14 to 16, 2025, an international external expert commission conducted an evaluation of the undergraduate educational programmes in Dentistry and General Medicine, as well as residency programmes, as part of the initial specialized accreditation of NJSC "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University".

The composition of the commission included: Chairperson: A.A. Zhunusova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of NJSC "Astana Medical University", holder of the "Excellence in Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan" badge, and laureate of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Award for Talented Young Scientists; As well as faculty members of medical universities of Kazakhstan, a student, a resident, and heads of medical organisations (employers). International experts who participated in the work of the accreditation commission included: Milena Staneva, PhD, Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
