Requirements for organizations for accreditation

REQUIREMENTS of the Eurasian Centre for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Health Care (ECAQA) for HEIs and medical education organisations to undergo the accreditation process
An applicant organisation must meet the following requirements when applying for institutional accreditation:
1. The organisation must have a state licence for the right to conduct educational activities according to the level of education (technical and vocational education, secondary education, basic and/or postgraduate education).
Exceptions to the above requirement are organisations providing continuing and non-formal education. In this case, a certificate of state registration of the organisation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the existence of a Constitution/Charter of the organisation are required. 2. It is compulsory for an organisation to have a student population in accordance with the level of training of the educational organisation (technical and vocational students, secondary students, bachelors, interns, master's students, PhD students, residents, trainees/members of a course);
3. The organisation is required to have a website in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages displaying the mission, strategic objectives, plans and results of the main activities, a list of educational services, achievements, and regularly updated information. It is acceptable for organisations of continuing and non-formal education to have business pages in social networks with information and learning content.
An applicant organisation must meet the following requirements when applying for specialised (programme) accreditation:
1. The organisation must have a state licence and its annexes authorising the organisation to conduct educational activities in general and in relation to the educational programme applied for accreditation (registration of the programme in the Educational Programmes Register for Higher and Postgraduate Education https://enic-kazakhstan.edu.kz/en/post/88).
Exceptions to the above requirement are organisations providing continuing and non-formal education. In this case, a certificate of state registration of the organisation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the existence of a Constitution/Charter of the organisation, as well as a list of continuing education programmes and/or a list of courses, activities for non-formal education are required;
2. The organisation is obliged to have students and graduates in the educational programme applied for accreditation.
The initial accreditation of an educational programme requires the presence of a student population in the organisation, but there might be no graduation of students;
3. The organisation is required to have a website in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages reflecting the information on the educational programme applied for accreditation.
4. It is acceptable for organisations of continuing and non-formal education to have business pages in social networks with information and learning content. The website and/or social media must include a course schedule and other events and activities.
Note: The application for institutional or specialised (programme) accreditation is submitted according to the recommended form which can be downloaded at http://ecaqa.org/akkreditatsiya/zayavka-na-provedenie-akkreditatsii-organisatsii-obrazovaniya. The processing of the application takes up to 3 days. A quotation is sent to the educational organisation in response to the application.
