Specialized (Programme) Accreditation
STANDARDS FOR THE ACCREDITATION OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES OF THE MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
The Standards for the accreditation of educational programmes of the medical educational institutions were developed by the Eurasian Center for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Healthcare (ECAQA) based on the International Standards for Improving the Quality of Undergraduate (2020), Postgraduate (residency) (2023) medical education, and master’s programmes in medicine and health care (2016) of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), as well as the International Standards for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in Europe (ORPHEUS, AMSE, and WFME). The accreditation standards for educational programmes are harmonized with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG/Part I) and take into account national and institutional needs, as well as the priorities of the healthcare systems in the countries where accreditation is conducted.
