On May 26-28, 2021, ECAQA External Evaluation Commission (EEC) visited the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University and conducted evaluation of the 20 educational Residency programmes within the framework of specialized accreditation of postgraduate medical education organizations.

The ECAQA Accreditation Standards are based on the WFME International Quality Assurance Standards for Postgraduate Medical Education. Professor, Dr Ruslan Abdullayevich Nasyrov, member of the New York Academy of Sciences, vice president for research and chair of the department for Forensic Pathology at the State Saint Petersburg Paediatric University of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation participated in the work of EEC as a foreign expert. Moreover, another foreign expert was Dr. Sergey Aleksandrovich Ryzhkyn, Associate Professor at the Department of Radiodiagnosis at Kazan State Medical Academy, deputy of director at Russian Medical Academy for Continuous Development (Moscow) and accredited expert of Federal Services for quality assurance in education and science (Rosobrnadzor).
