On May 19-21, 2021, ECAQA External Evaluation Commission (EEC) visited the Medical University Semey and conducted evaluation of 18 educational Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and Residency programmes within the framework of specialized accreditation of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education organizations.

The ECAQA’s Accreditation Standards are based on the WFME International Quality Assurance Standards. Evgeniy Germanovich Ripp, Associate Professor, PhD Candidate in Medicine, Head of Accreditation and Simulation-based learning centre of the Institute for Medical Education at the Almazov National Medical Research Centre of the Ministry of Health of Russian Federation (MoH RF) participated in the work of EEC as a foreign expert. Furthermore, Professor Ripp is a board member of the Russian Association for Simulation-based learning in Medicine (RASBLM) of MoH RF, a member of the RASBLM educational programme committee and an instructor at the European Resuscitation Council.
