The ECAQA representative has participate at the International Conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), which was held in Helsinki (Finland) on August 26-30, 2017 and participate at the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Recognition Program for Accrediting Agencies: Purpose, processes, and criteria.

Norcini and Marta van Zanten (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research, USA) “While the purposes of accreditation of basic medical education are to evaluate and ensure the quality of medical education programmes and encourage improvement, accreditation practices vary considerably worldwide. Consequently, the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) has developed and implemented a global programme aimed at recognised agencies that accredit medical schools at an international standard. This workshop will provide and overview of the WFME recognition programme and an in-depth understanding of its purpose, processes, and criteria.
